This policy explains what information the game Sprouting Isle (for iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac) and this website handle, why, and the choices you have. Sprouting Isle is made by VNLook (“we”, “us”). We built the game to need as little of your data as possible.
The short version
- No account or sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or address in the game.
- No advertising and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. The game does not use advertising identifiers (Apple's IDFA or Google's advertising ID).
- Your island, inventory and progress are saved on your device. We do not receive or store them.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never see your payment card or store account details.
- The Unity purchasing component may send technical purchase records to Unity Technologies (details below).
- The game does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.
1. Who we are
VNLook is the developer of Sprouting Isle and the party responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@vnlook.com.
2. Information the game and this site handle
Game data stored on your device
To let you continue where you left off, the game keeps a save on your device: your island and buildings, inventory, quests, player level and experience, coin and diamond balances, game settings (such as language and music) and the identifiers of completed purchase transactions (so a purchase is never delivered twice). This data stays on your device. It may be included in device backups you make through Apple or Google (for example iCloud Backup or Android backup), which they handle under their own privacy policies.
In-app purchases
Diamond packs are bought through the store you got the game from: Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store processes the payment and shares with the game only what it needs to deliver the item: the product, an order or transaction identifier and a signed receipt. We do not receive your name, payment card or store account details. See Apple's Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
Unity In-App Purchasing
The game is built with the Unity engine and uses Unity's In-App Purchasing component to talk to the store. When a purchase is started, completed or fails, this component may send Unity Technologies a technical record of that event, which can include: the product, price and currency; transaction and receipt data; the app version; device model, operating system version, language and region; a random installation ID that Unity creates for the game; and, on Apple devices, the identifier for vendors (IDFV), a random ID shared only by apps from the same developer on your device. The game does not give this component permission to use advertising identifiers. Depending on configuration, the Unity engine may also send basic diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data. Unity processes this information under the Unity Privacy Policy. We do not use it for advertising or to identify you.
Messages you send us
If you email support, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach (for example a screenshot or your device model). We use it only to answer you.
This website
This website is a set of static pages. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising scripts, and it loads its fonts and videos from our own server. Like any web server, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and running.
3. How we use information
- To run the game and keep your progress on your device.
- To deliver purchased items and prevent the same purchase from being delivered twice.
- To answer support requests and investigate problems you report.
- To keep the game and this website secure and to meet legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)
Where these laws apply, we rely on: performance of our agreement with you (providing the game and the items you buy); our legitimate interests (answering support requests, keeping the game and site secure and working); and compliance with legal obligations (for example tax and consumer-protection rules on purchases). Where a law requires your consent, we ask for it first.
6. International transfers
We are based in Vietnam. Apple, Google, Unity and our providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep information
- Game data stays on your device until you delete the game. Starting a New Game erases your island, inventory, quests and level, but keeps diamonds you bought and have not spent.
- Support emails are kept while we help you and for up to 24 months afterwards, so we can follow up on related issues, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Unity, Apple and Google keep the information they receive according to their own policies.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email contact@vnlook.com. We will reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using your rights.
- Game data: delete the game from your device to remove it. See Data Deletion for step-by-step instructions.
- Purchases: to stop in-app purchases, use Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions on Apple devices; on Android, require authentication for purchases in Google Play settings or use Google Family Link.
- Unity data: the Unity installation ID is removed when you delete the game, and the IDFV is reset when you remove all apps from the same developer from your device. You can also contact Unity through its privacy policy, or ask us and we will help.
- California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Sprouting Isle is a family-friendly game, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age set by your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The game asks for no personal details, and parents can control purchases with Apple's Ask to Buy and Screen Time, or with Google Family Link. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Purchases go through Apple's and Google's secure payment systems, the game's progress records are signed to detect tampering, and this website is served over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep the information we handle to the minimum.
11. Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling information differently, for example by adding a new service, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date before the change takes effect, and highlight significant changes in the game or on this site.
